Acrobat Medium Diameter
The Acrobat fusion machines offer the best capabilities for butt fusing polypropylene piping systems seen in today’s most advanced HVAC, mechanical and commercial plumbing applications. With its optimal weight and compact design, the Acrobat is an easy machine to manipulate whether you’re fusing pipe in the ceilings, the walls or the ground. Two models cover pipe size ranges from 63mm to 315mm (2″ to 12″) polypropylene pipe.
ACROBAT™ 160 63mm - 160mm (2" - 6")
The Acrobat™ 160 is a low-force fusion machine that allows operators to butt fuse pipe in tight work spaces. With its small footprint and optimal weight, it is an easy machine to manipulate when performing overhead fusions in tight spaces as well on the ground.
For even tighter spaces, the Acrobat 160 can be configured from 4 jaws to 3 jaws without using tools.

ACROBAT™ 250 63mm - 250mm (2" - 10")
The Acrobat™ 250 has a compact design for easy maneuvering in tight work spaces and is capable of fusing pipe on the ground, vertically and overhead. To further reduce its footprint, the carriage can be configured from 4 to 3 jaws without tools. A single-size insert design can accommodate a variety of pipe sizes, and its narrow jaws allow fusions to most flanges and fittings.
The Acrobat 250 comes with a lightweight heater and guide rod latching system which eliminates the need to hold the heater in place during overhead fusions. The Acrobat is compatible with two hydraulic power units (HPUs) designed to meet the maximum system pressure desired on your jobsite. Two carriage pressure configurations are available: low force, for fusing in low-drag situations or with thinner-walled pipe; and high-force, for fusing in high drag and vertical applications. Both allow the operator to present the facing, heating and fusing pressures.
ACROBAT™ 315 200mm - 315mm (8" - 12")
The Acrobat 315 fusion machine has a lightweight, compact design for easy maneuvering in tight indoor work spaces specific to the polypropylene industry. To further reduce its footprint, the carriage can be configured from 4 to 3 jaws without tools.

ACROBAT™ 355/400 Fusion Capability For 355mm And 400mm (14" And 16") Polypropylene Pipe
McElroy’s Acrobat machines that feature the QuikFit™ carriage are size specific and are composed of lightweight, modular components so that the upper and lower jaws can be assembled around the pipe by hand. This eliminates the difficulty of lifting and fitting an entire carriage into a small space. It will fuse pipe in any orientation that is required on plumbing, mechanical and HVAC installations, including vertical and overhead.
ACROBAT™ 450/500 Fusion Capability For 450mm And 500mm (18" And 20") Polypropylene Pipe
